UCL - Centre for Applied Archaeology
The Centre for Applied Archaeology (CAA), incorporating Archaeology South East (ASE) is part of University College London’s (UCL) Institute of Archaeology (IoA). CAA’s team of 13 provides support for academic staff at the Institute of Archaeology and commercial staff in its contracts division (ASE), which constitute a further 80 archaeologists and heritage specialists who collectively are involved in heritage work in over 87 countries.
The CAA builds links between commercial practice, academic research and local communities. Its position within the UCL Institute of Archaeology (IoA) enables it to take part in ongoing research and teaching. The IoA is the largest and one of the UK’s most highly regarded centres for archaeology, cultural heritage and museum studies. It undertakes world leading research as part of UCL, which is the top university in the UK for research strength. UCL has over 11,000 staff and 38,000 students from 150 different countries. Founded in 1826 in the heart of London, UCL was the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women on equal terms with men.

Landkreis Kassel
The Landkreis Kassel is known for its beautiful low mountain range landscape with its romantic and historically interesting villages and cities. It is situated in the centre of Germany, in Northern Hesse with a total area of 1.293 km² and approx. 240.00 inhabitants in 28 communities. The city of Kassel is our neighbour district.
Northern Hesse is an ancient cultural landscape between the rivers Diemel, Fulda and Weser, with two natural parks and huge forests. Half-timbered architecture, pilgrimage paths, abbey churches and cities dating back to medieval ages are also the background of fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm.
Rich cultural heritage and modern technology shape our region. Highly innovative technology companies and pioneering projects in the fields of sustainability, transport, mechanical engineering and automotive industry are settled in the Landkreis Kassel. It´s a region ideal for living, working, travelling, vacation, hiking, cycling and cultural highlights!

Plato
PLATO is a centre for educational research and development both in regular education and in corporate training. It consists of a group of 8 experts in education and learning. It belongs to the Leiden University in the Netherlands and provides in-service teacher training. During a series of years the centre has gained experience and expertise in various fields of education and training. Both research and development of training programmes, training materials and other educational arrangements are included in the realm of projects of the centre.
The director of the centre, Jaap Van Lakerveld, is a longstanding and active member of the ATEE (Association of Teacher Education in Europe). For a series of years he was the chairman of the permanent Research and Development Centre on in-service education of teachers of this association and as such has a great potential for dissemination and exploitation of results.

FEST
The Federation for European Storytelling (FEST) is an international non-profit organisation (INPO) based in Belgium. It is a network of organisations and associations active in the field of storytelling, FEST currently counts 90 members in 26 countries, who represent national, regional or local organisations like professional storytelling associations, festival organisers, training centres, local authorities, colleges, universities, cultural centres or libraries, all with a special interest in oral storytelling.
FEST aims to empower the world of storytelling in Europe through sharing, learning and relationship building.
FEST promotes the mobility of ideas and collaborations in and across Europe, by offering mechanisms for sharing, learning, advocacy and relationship building.
FEST wants to enhance the visibility and the recognition of oral storytelling as a performing art.
FEST focuses on professional development of the oral storyteller as a performing artist and as a professional provider of oral storytelling in other (cultural) sectors.
FEST wants to raise the European dimension of oral storytelling events and transnational cooperation in the sector as well as build a ‘culture for storytelling’ (audience development).

ACCR
The ACCR (Association des Centres culturels de rencontre) was created in France in 1973 and recognised as a registered charity ten years later. In 2021, the ACCR brings together 20 French members and around 20 members from the rest of the world. As heritage sites dedicated to innovative artistic, cultural and scientific projects, the network’s members are heavily involved in the promotion of the cultural sector, in education, and in issues of regional development.
The ACCR is responsible for coordinating the network in France and developing it internationally. It enhances the regional, national and global reach of its members, from a strong local base. Furthermore, it coordinates for the Ministry of Culture three residency programmes which enable the French centres to welcome foreign artists and culture professionals (including refugees), thereby facilitating intercultural dialogue.
